Blooming Wonderful

I think I have a problem. Not like a 'sit down in a circle' and profess my woes kind of problem, but one that involves flowers all up in my grill.

Whether they're sat basking in the sunlight on my windowsill, or blossoming onto my clothes, it's safe to say I'm all for a flower.

I'm lucky enough to walk past a beautiful shop on my way to work, McQueens; which is full of beautiful blooms every day and never fails to make me smile. My personal favourites are lilac roses, which I see littered around my wedding (should someone choose to marry me!).

Flowers are so effortless. They can change your mood instantly. It might be a little reminder that you're on somebodies mind, or you might treat yourself to a bunch of blossoms from the market.

Let's not ignore the couture, either. Givenchy sent models gallivanting down the catwalks in an array of moody blooms, whilst Prada plucked the branches of some of the prettiest trees in town.

ASOS has a great selection for this season, and look no further than high street hero Zara for an edgy take on the trend (think Acne inspired Swedish cuts with blurry florals).

Perk up some of your Summer staples with pretty petals ready for the weather!

Tear it up, Honey.

They don't call it January blues for nothing. But rather than wishing the days away, there are some blue hues that will have you feeling a little more 'February' in no time!

I have spent many a lunch break scrolling through Aussie blogs, green eyed over their leg-baring Levi's and honey pins, whilst we're practically projecting a white mist over the country from our ghostly glow.

Fear not, ladies! Grab a bottle of the good stuff and get tearing up your winter denim. Whether it's acid wash, boyfriend blue or grungy grey, get scissor happy and hit the bottle (Xen-Tan, personally).

Here's a little inspo to brighten these cloudy days...

Hobbsessed

Ok, so I am a little sad to be hauling a bag of summer dresses into the attic for another year, but there is certainly a silver lining to these big grey clouds.

Hot footing it down regent street whilst running errands earlier this week, I almost gave myself whiplash (and took out a group of disgruntled tourists) as I reversed back and came to a halt infront of Hobbs.

Despite the hefty price tag, I am inclined to declare that I have discovered peacoat perfection in the form of this candy coloured, mohair miracle.

By the time I've sold all of my winter coats from years gone by, I might be able to find comfort in the arms of this dream coat.

Here's hoping that Hobbs get their discount on...(or that there's an almighty coat god that will hear my plea for pea!)

Passeig de gracia.

256-258 regent street; home to '&other stories', is a Swedish invasion of effortlessly cool euro-style. Whilst it's great shopping for someone else as part of my work, it's also a MASSIV' tease. Think Hennies had a love child with Acne. I know, one way ticket to London, right?! Well if you're not so close as to hop on the tube, you'll be pleased to know that they ship within the uk for free! Sval!! So for a taste of Scandi-cool clobber, head to www.stories.com immediately!!!

White Out

It's your Friday night fail-safe, your 'hoping-to-bump-into-the-ex' and your front like Beyonce frock. But it's time to give the LBD a break. Having been blessed with long days of beaming rays, there's no better way to show off your glow than in a white-hot number. Be brave, grab a box of daz and work your whites! (Just give the jam on toast a miss, maybe...)

If you can't have Marant...

Carvela 'Elvis' Sandals

No, my purse strings aren't loose enough either, but there's no avoiding how totally uh-mazing these little beauties are from our French fashion fave, Isabel Marant. At £600, only the fash-pack elite will be rambling around in the coveted Elvis sandal, but fear not! Carvela @ Kurt Geiger have only gone and duped the real deal. At a purse friendly (ish) £85, there's no reason why we can't have a taste of the trend without y'know, having to sell the car...

Pajamarama

We all have those days...you wake up and before you've even hit the snooze button you're already looking forward to falling back into bed. Then you peek through the curtains hoping to see even the smallest patch of blue sky, so as to slip on a summer dress pretty enough to distract from the pillow creases tattooed across your cheeks.

Reality check! It was only snowing last week! Step away from the flip flops, girl.

Fortunately, there is a new trend on the horizon (somewhere a little closer than the Summer sunshine).

There is nothing we can do about the dreaded draught from stepping out of your jammies and into your clothes, but we can embrace 'sleepy chic' as it sweeps the high street!

While we're waiting for Summer, slip into silk, swap your sandals for slippers, and Hugh Heffner it up in dreamy dressing gowns which don't belong hung on your bedpost!
